Effective Chest Hair Removal Methods for Men
Smooth and clean chested is in trend for men. The hairy chest is no longer a favorite of the modern man. Salons over the world have been reporting an increase in the footfall of men coming by to have their chest hair removed. This trend is not just among models or sportsmen who have their chest exposed, but is also getting popular with others who just want a “clean chest”. Visiting a salon is not necessary when removing chest hair at home is not cumbersome. Instead of shaving or tweezing, try some of these most effective home hair removal treatments.
Chest wax
Waxing gives a clean and smooth finish, removing hair at the roots. Hair takes a long time to regrow after waxing. Before waxing, take a shower to clean the skin of sweat and grime. Exfoliate the skin to unclog pores. Once wash dry the skin and lightly dust cornstarch or baby powder on the area, which has to be waxed. This helps the wax to stick better to the hair. Avoid the nipples area when you are waxing. Use the method, which suits you best. There are very many options when it comes to waxing products. You have ready-to-use wax strips, hot wax or the roll-on option of waxing. Try the different methods and choose the one you are most comfortable with.
- Hot waxing
Melt the wax in a wax warmer, before application. Apply the wax evenly using an applicator or Popsicle stick. As the wax is warm, the heat opens up the pore and makes it easier to pull out the hair. Even short hair is removed. As the hair follicles are opened up the hair sticks better to the waxing sheet. The wax should be spread thinly just to cover the hair, as it is easier to remove a thin layer with a wax removal sheet. Care should be taken as very hot wax can burn the skin. Check the temperature before an application. The only drawback is preparation can be time-consuming. - Cold waxing
Waxing strips are easy to use to remove chest hair. They are available in different sizes and many of them contain essential oils and are scented. They are packaged well and are easy to carry and use while traveling. Using wax strips is one of the least messy options for hair removal. As the wax is cold, it may not be suited for removing small hair.
Depilatory creams
Depilatory creams (creams that dissolve body hair) are another way of removing chest hair. Wash your chest and wipe it dry, apply the cream and rinse it off after a few minutes. Always test for allergies before you use the creams as you may develop a rash if you have sensitive skin. The creams generally smell awful due to their chemical content. Make sure you follow the instructions well to avoid the rash or redness of the skin. This method is painful but hair regrows in a couple of days, as the hair is not removed from the roots.
