When applying mascara understand that technique is as important as the mascara and the brush. To make the mascara appear fabulous try these tricks suggested by beauty professionals:

Adjust your brush angle for a natural or dramatic finish
The way you hold the brush when you apply mascara can make a huge difference in the transfer of mascara from the brush to the lashes. If you want voluminous lashes, hold the brush horizontally and wiggle it back and forth. If you want longer looking natural lashes, hold the brush vertically and run the tip of the brush along the length of your lashes.

Reuse your old brushes, which suit you
The perfect way to get those lashes on point is to use the right tool. Why not reuse the old ones. Very often, we throw away the brush with the mascara, instead if you like a particular brush, wash it thoroughly and dry it. Use it with the other mascaras. Make sure you clean it well as an unsanitary brush can cause eye infections.

Use a clean toothbrush to de-clump mascara on the lashes
The toothbrush helps to comb the eyelashes and to remove any mascara, which is clamped to the lashes.

Soak your mascara
You must change your mascara every 3 to 6 months or else it will clump and may cause bacterial infections. Curl the lashes
